Looking to switch out my savox servo 0236 of my vekta 5 started acting up today freezing at times and sometimes not moving at all. Last thing I need is for it to freeze at full throttle. Like something under $150 if possible. What's new out there

Looks like I'm going to have to finally give these a try always avoided them due to all the mixed reviews. Going to give it a week before I order see if they turn up on deal of the day

I'd bet they are the most sold servo in existence. With all the good reviews theirs bound to be bad ones. I had 2 burn up on me, but hitec warranty is awesome. Sent both in and they were back within a week no questions asked.

Ya there is definitely a lot in rotation I remember in the early days of 1/5 seemed like these were the servos everyone was using

i've been looking into this too. so far i've narrowed it down to
Savox SB-2236MG,
PowerHobby 701MG,
Hitec D840wp.
Savox SW-0240MG
speed at 7.4v - 0,13, 0.14, 0.11, 0.17s.
torque at 7,4v - 555oz, 950oz, 419oz, 416oz.
Price: $135, $80, $100, $120.
not waterproof, WP, WP, WP
All are powered thru the receiver.

I really don't want to spend more than $150 on a servo as i prefer to keep the servos the same on my cars.

your input from real experience is appreciated.

Installed brand new 840 and died on the first run. If you are going with hitec I recommend the 845 as it is much stronger.

But if you want reliable, fast, smooth, quiet and absolutely no weird noise or glitching AGFRC is the only option.

This is a Promodeler servo. When it comes to servos, you get what you pay for. “Buy once cry once”. Since switch completely over to ProModeler, I haven’t had to even think about steering, which is nice. It’s just not a concern anymore and hasn’t been for over a year now. I use two of these DS2180BLDP servos in my 5iveT 2.0. And the DS1735BLDP for mechanical braking.
