I don't think you can get the head of one of these engines hot enough to soften the metal. You would need a cutting torch .

Metal expands when it gets hot . You want to torque all the bolts to the motor while it's cold.

Exhaust side gets pretty hot. Like I said, idk to what extent and if it's significant enough to make a difference. I'd just rather do it cold.

Well fellas! Took the Raminator out for a bit. Huge thank you to all of you! My issues are fixed and my top end is right on point now. Just fine tuning it now...but wow what a huge difference to have the head tight. LOLOLOL! I would have never thought to check that on a brand new installed engine. Lesson learned for sure. Truck feels like it has much more torque now too!

How does that change things for this engine from others if this engine is separate vs others being all in one?

2 gaskets, one for the head one for the cylinder. Your leak was at the top where the head meets the cylinder

I guess I assumed he had like a Zenoah ?? integrated type !
