I use medium set CA glue... Gives a few more seconds to get the bead seated in before it hardens.

Always store your CA glue in the freezer, it will last forever. I have a bottle that's over 5 years old, it's still good.

That what CA was originally designed for, bonding human skin... I was developed during WWII for field dressing wounds. Now you know why it sticks to your fingers so fast!

Its called DermaBond for skin lacerations.

So is it safe to say that all "CA - Medium glue" is the same from brand to brand?

I looked at Amazon.com and they have a bunch of CA - Medium glues available but I wasn't sure if they are all the same in terms of quality and durability.

buy this... this is the only brand i like... The crap from Zap and Great planes are too brittle for tires.

As long as it has this style label it good. It comes in about 6 or 8 variations. Stay away from the flexible or rubberized stuff. The odorless stuff isn't strong enough for tires.

After you get it, store it in the freezer and it will last forever.

i just used superglue for my FG tires, but you have to have a steady hand lol :) 1 mistake & theres no going back!!

as for getting tires off... boiling the wheels so it softens the glue up!? not tried yet tho!

Another trick is to freeze them in a deep freezer, cold, below -20 f. Glue gets brittle and cracks..

Or you can try the heat gun trick... Get the tire to around 350-400f (204c) with a heat gun, then blast it with a can of co2 compressed air. The stuff you can buy to blow the dust out of your keyboard. Turn the can upside down and blast the bead of the hot tire... The glue will crack instantly. You are going from 400f (200c) to -120f (-84c) that's a 500 degree temp difference. The glue breaks like glass.

It pops dents out of body panels too... In the vid he is just using a hair dryer. A heat gun is too hot for the paint.
