Got a stupid question and haven't seen the answer anywhere.

I assume that when it comes to inserts that if you buy soft tires such as the Nomad Soft compound that Losi makes that you would also want to use the soft inserts?

The inserts are the air in the tire a soft tire is the rubber compound not the same soft inserts let the side walls flex for slick tracks but are not good for high speed turns hard inserts hold there shape in the turns and are faster but not as much traction . Soft tires let the rubber stretch like a rubber band and grip the track that's why you see a blue groove on hard packed dirt tracks . A good rule for tires get the softest ones you can for inserts if your Raceing with a lot of long hi speed sweeping turns hard inserts for playing soft to put power down Hope that helped
