Has anyone ever had tires put on your vehicle at Wal-Mart ?

I called for prices on tires for our 2004 Kia Sedona mini-van. Wal-mart insisted on putting 130 mph speed rated tires on a mini-van!

They were also $40 more expensive...

Check out the prices of Sam's club or Costco (if you are a member). Supposedly they have to do it for liability purposes, but who knows. Everyone lies nowadays.

Generally speaking, higher speed rating tires also have better sidewall deflection ratings which is important for high CG and heavy passenger vehicles. You could do the lower rated tires but if you have to swerve to avoid, let's say a dog in the road, with passengers in the car, the lower rated tires may seperate from the rim or worse blow out.

i went to walmart for tires, brakes and battery on my car. they refused to put the tires on becouse my rim is 2" bigger then stock. then they wouldnt do my brakes becouse i have cross drilled after market rotors(wtf!). they were fine putting in a marine battery, but they just didnt know were it was supposed to go. thats when i told them to forget about it and give me back my ride.
