I can't believe I'm actually considering this....

Anyway, is there a recommended kit, for this buggy, that is still being made, that anyone here has used / is using? Im a buy once cry once kinda guy so Id rather have high quality vs the cheapest available. Thank you in advance.

Not much. Waiting on a vintage echo saw to show up from California for the collection. Waiting on paint to dry on the RC boat.

I'm good with the type of power the gas engine has.
i am currently using vitavon center diff combo and battery trays. Works great. It's going on two seasons of abuse. I use Hobbywings max 5 v2 and 800kv setup with zeee 2-10,000 4s packs. i get anywhere from 10 to 12 plus minutes depending on gearing and track. Cheapest place i found them was on ebay 2 packs for around $95.

Im going to scratch my brushless itch with an XRT or something. Leaving the 5B as God intended...gas powered.
That sounds like a great solution. The 5T thanks you for a wise choice.

The XRT is actually pretty amazing. Others here have them and I have seen them go and actually made a couple laps with one.

I haven't seen one yet. They look fun. That's why I recommended converting a Losi truck. That and at a track you can get parts from buddies because everyone races losi. And, I like to carry parts that work on all rigs. even my 2wd buggy I race is a converted losi buggy.

No racing here. Nowhere to do so unfortunately. I might put my own track in again. I have the space and the equipment to do so.
