Hello,

I finally received my MT, painted the body, glued web to the engine, and then i installed my two brand new HS805...oh, sorry, i didn´t, because they are to big.

Halfways freaking out that the 805s do not fit ( now i have 3 brand new spare-steering-servos for my FG :( ) , so i ordered a pair of 5745s (they have the exact same body as the rhinos) and now i´m totally freaking out, because the f***ing holders of the servos won´t fit to any damn servo but the crappy GWS...... I´m not used to problems like that from my other cars, so are there servoholders that fit Multiplex-Hitec?

So please let me know, how you guys solved the problem with mounting the steering servos and that problem with those special servo horns for the dual steering... please send me opportunities and pictures before a big man is breaking down crying.

Get you some JB weld and glue the four factory holes shut in the servo plastic mount on your redcat then let it dry overnight and redrill and tap where you want the servo to be at.

Thank you for the quick replies, is there an alloy mount for underneath the e-box too?

And what about the servohorns, the originals are mounted with that ball-thing in them, will the normal horns, that came along with the servos work?

But redrilling the bottom holes will hopefully also work, because buying alloy parts in germany is a pain in the ..., prices here for rc-stuff are like the things are gold-plated...

Thank you for your help

I found the same thing. I was like who came up with this idea. From what I have been told everyone is removing a little of the ears on the servo mount. I removed just enough to allow the screw to be inserted. I used the top hole and left the mount guide, I did remove the bottom mount guide. This way I could get the servo lined up, you have to play with it a little, (that is funny, keep you mind out of the gutter) and slide it around to align it. I only had to just a little. I then found some larger washers and used them on the bottom servo mounting hole. I also used the provided rubber and brass guides that came with the HS5745MG because of the un-used hole. I had to cut one (making it like a flat washer so both had the same height off the mount. I may just fill the un-used hole with JB Weld, which would help keep them secure.

These mounts are strange because they are not flat and straight to allow the servo to be flush against the mount. The only mount that is flat and flush is the side that mounts to the Battery Box. I think I will post this under the “HSP Factory Engineering Meeting” If these mounts would allow the servo to be flush instead of the inward curve, drilling a proper hole would be easier. Better yet have the factory pre drill the additional hole.
