Just wondering what kind of speeds these are getting. I'm assuming it does around 30mph stock, but haven't seen posts explicitly stating that. Also, I'm sure top speed is as fast as you can afford, but just curious what people have gotten.

Thank you

Also, if you have a MT, feel free to chime in.

I have an FHMT with a DDM torque pipe and a stock 23cc. To me, it goes fast enough, one bump and I can flip that thing end over end over end. A 20+ pound vehicle doing that makes me cringe because I'm worried something has broken. It isn't nearly as fast as my 1/8 nitro Aftershock, but it's fast enough. I really have no way to gauge it. I know when I run my 1/5 scales up and down the street, it seems horribly fast and I worry about hitting something at even say 35 mph. I would probably guess about 35 with a tuned pipe.

We all want to go faster until that "ITEM" jumps in front of it.

The gearing on the Firehammer is slightly more then the FGMT. Taking in account for the smaller tires on the Firehammer I would say its about even for gearing vs tire size, or there abouts. I would say that you can do what Trip did with the Firehammer and a 26cc.:) Tell you though, 40+ is dang fast with a 20+ pound R/C on the ground where things jump in front of it.:(

I'm really not concerned with going Faster just yet. This was purely a curiosity question. I'll still have at least 1 brushless 1:10 truck and a nitro 1:8 buggy for high speed driving.

Another quick question because this is a little confusing.

A stock 5B can hit 50mph top speed. Weighs about the same. Is it due to the motor being better, lower gear ratio, or a combination of both?

Could be they jacked up the gearing? I would have a hard time believing their 5B was faster then mine out of the box? Heck, I'm not sure mine goes 50 now with a rear DOM pipe and a 27.2 kit on it?

I found the vid. Claims 49mph top speed stock 5b

I'm not going to argue with them but, It would be nice to have a couple different guns to make sure of calibration. The best way is how TC did his, with a GPS.:)

I do agree with that. I actually have the same gps as teamchrome.

That was the best of several high speed passes and they averaged around 49 to 51 each time.
Race ported Zen 26 with elcon clutch and milkie pipe on a Baja, and Robinson speed set.
Doubt it will get any faster now.
I run with a group and one of them has.. had, (KABOOM)... a Trevor simpson billit reed case..
Stupid power and fast as hell...
Its back in the shop and he hopefully will have it back soon.
