You guys talk about switching those gears like you just pop one off and pop another on.. don't you have to set gear mesh or do they just magically line up somehow?

Well, it's more like you can't set the gear mesh. These gear plates don't have any way of adjusting it. The mesh is alright, though. Sometimes you end up with a tight spot in the gears, but they wear into each other after a few tanks.

The gear selection is very limited also.

Go to a belt drive,no gear mesh,put it on and go.
