hi got my monster truck couple of days ago secound hand only had half a tank through it . it took about 10 pulls to get it started ticked over ok but plutters when i set of then goes like a bat out of hell. just keeps spluttering when i set off
 
Hiya Brian, it would help if you could tell us a bit about your car such as any mods like tuned pipe, air filter or fancy carbs.

First thing to check would be the hi lo setting on your carb, as a rough guide the could do with setting to 1 1/2 turns out (when you screw them in to adjust, just nip them). Check your filter is clean, check your spark plug and you could also check your clucth isn't dragging.

Sounds like it needs a tune or maybe got a manifold airleak check that the carb is tight

Samba pipes are the best around, sound like a tidy car. There are some reliability mods you can do if you want to go down that route, just ask when you're ready.
