My truck all the sudden died
Was at my last stage of breaking in and it died
Tried firing her up and can’t get her started decided to take the engine apart and noticed the piston was all scratched and pieces of metal inside the Cylinder head

my question is noticing the piston scarred like that is that normal because of the breaking in Process or did I just scrap the piston and cylinder head
do I need to get a new Piston and cylinder head?

did not touch the needles What so ever and used two-stroke synthetic oil

my other question is why where there pieces of metal inside!!!!

Please somebody help

If you have bits of metal in there a part of the engine has self destructed.
My first thought was the ring but it's obviously something else.
I wouldn't muck around with it.
If it's new send it back under warranty.

I fingered it out
Ended up being the needle bearing that broke

but why would that happen??
