OK, so I got the truck in the house and I got things apart and the what not...

I am stuck with a couple questions....

First question is do I need a pulley to get these off, i am referring to the clutch mounting points where I have to switch my stock fuelies part for the zenoah part (see pics)

zenoah which i need to remove to install the fuelie one...

fuelie one I need to get off to put on the obr motor...

Next question regards to mounting my cpi pipe up to the block, seems the new obr engine doesn't have this one mounting hole that the fuelie has, I am wondering does it matter and will it have an ill effect not using it? if it will I will just swap over my jet pro pipe but I rather still use my cpi pipe... again see pics and where my finger is pointing to on both blocks...

first pic is the fuelie with the hole that the cpi mounted to...

second pic is the obr block which doesn't have that hole that the cpi pipe bolted to on the fuelie motor for support or whatever its purpose is/was

so far so good I guess, I'm thinking I need to go to harbor freight tomorrow and buy a pulley of some sort to get those pieces off the clutch housings.... and well the cpi pipe has me worried... i just wanna be back together and breaking the new engine in....

I thank you guys as always in advance and appreciate the help, without ya's I wouldn't even be doing this right now, (i'm happy i am though, fun fun fun!)

You will want to use the stock Flywheel cover, and clutch cover off your old engine. The stock Zenoah ones will require modifications to work. To remove the clutch holder just use 2 long bolts (like the gearplate ones) to push it off of the crankshaft.

You don't need a pulley. Just get some bolts and thread them into the plate until they hit the clutch housing, then tighten each side until it pops off. I used two M6 - 1.0 x 25mm bolts. Got them at Autozone in their nuts/bolts section.

Awesome advice from you Obeast and Deluge!!!

I used the bolts from the gear plate and they fit perfect and popped both off with ease...

I'm bolted back up and together now...

I just wanna make sure this looks correct to you guys..

OK!

Now what do you guys think about the CPI pipe issue ??? Is it OK without bolting up to that one hole for mounting support ???

Edit: Do you guys think its worth getting a HPI 7500k CLUTCH SPRING SET or am I fine with the stocker at this point ???

I'm sure you like the chrome cover. The mounting holes will not line up with the holes in the chassis. That is why it was recomended to switch covers. You will then be able to also utilize that top mounting hole.

I don't like the chrome cover that much dad, Its already off! The original black OBR engine cover is back on and it has that hole I need for muffler support!!!

EXCELLENT!!!

we got all issues solved!!!

I can't thank you guys enough!!!

We'll see what happens next!!!

:D

PS: Anyone wanna buy a chrome engine cover set for $50 shipped ?

Use the fan cover from your old engine. The bottom mount holes are slightly off on the Zen cover, and you'll have to mod the chassis to get it to fit. Other than that, everything looks good.

I'm all done!

Tomorrow is the break in day....

Cant wait to fire her up for the 1st time!

I'd recommend getting a 7500 or 8000 spring. I'll defintely give your truck more ballz off the start. When you get tired of changing out worn springs/shoes and feel like swinging $129, get a Lauterbacher 4 shoe clutch. Those are defintely a good upgrade. They last forever and keep there shift point for a long time.
