So I finally got through the first tank of gas around the track since I got the car. The spark plug issue was resolved and now the car runs pretty good. Here are the things that have happened with the car after one tank:

Throttle/Brake servo died, replaced with a better quality one.
A rear dogbone "pin" came loose or broke on the wheel side. Obviously with the dogbone pin removed, there is no drive to that wheel. When the pin came loose/broke, it put a pretty big gouge in the plastic hub. How exactly are these pins installed in the dogbone ends? Why would mine comes loose so quickly?
The car still ran with three wheel drive, but then there seemed to be some kind of lockup in the center diferential. The engine would throttle up, but the car would not go anywhere. The front wheels would not turn, even by hand, like the brake was applied. The brake was not applied, I will have to take the center diff apart and get in there to find out what went awry.

Once I find out what I need, I guess I will be waiting for parts in the mail to get back on the track. There is one serious drivability issue that I have noticed with this car. Over any type of jump, small, medium, big, the car nose dives really bad. Even with the throttle at full to try and keep the nose up, it dives straight down over any type of jump. So bad that it will dig in and flip over, like everytime. Has anyone else noticed this? :(

Rob over at Rampagehopups has sent out new driveshaft pins with his preventative maintenence offer so hopefully I shall be back running soon. Good customer service for their new product.

could your rear suspension be too soft, allowing the rear end to spring off the top of the jumps, getting the ass higher over the front?

I would definitely check the rear shocks to be sure the c-clips are on holding the piston in place on the top of the shock shaft. If not this explains the jumping issue. The truck is pretty much spring only in the rear if the clips are off. This will cause your problem just as Tim explained.

Does Redcat provide any warranty for the servos? I took apart the throttle servo that died on me and there is a chip on the board that is roasted. Maybe it had an internal short. Also, I noticed that the buggy's rear wheels toe in pretty good, I'd say atleast 4-5 degrees. Is this normal? I do not see where this could be adjusted. Lastly, I have not broken any suspension C-clips or have I had any suspension problems what-so-ever as of yet.

Well, you just missed the mailmn. Redcat sent your dogbones yesterday. It would be best to find a local Throttle servo. Are you on a base or in the states? PM me.

Has anyone melted the gears, I just noticed mine are toast.

I also toasted the throttle servo on its maiden voyage. It just gave me a reason to install the Hitec gear I had for it anyway.

Yes, the 25T gears are a weak point. Most of us are switching to MCD plastic gears for now. I will have more in stock on Thursday probably. Metal gears still 2 weeks away.

I ran over to Redcat and picked up a dozen of the 25t gears, that should do me till the metal gears are ready.:boat:

I don't have a good source for MCD yet. I have been after Large Scale RC, but they are avoiding me?
