just fitting a tuned exhaust i picked up off ebay to my carson super attack and have had to do some modifications to the bodyshell mounting at the rear to make it fit as its quite large. the silencer is still touching the underside of my rear wing however and i was wondering does this part of the exhaust get hot enough to melt the wing? i have never run one before so don't know? do i need to clear the wing from touching it completely do you think? not sure how i could do this though? any advice?
:(

my jetpro pipe is touching my rear wing on FG Baja, ive run about 8 tanks with it like that or close enough, once 2 tanks straight after each other, not the slightest sign of anything melting.

i don't think you will have any problems at all.

thanks for the good advice ill try taking the wing off and running it to check the temp, are all tuned pipes such a pain to fit? i have had to modify the bodyshell too. not sure what make this is it looks a little like a dominator pipe but its not as well finished on the welds so may be a cheaper copy type. it will do for now until i have the spare cash to buy better one. thanks again.:)

When you are running you will have the air movement to keep the wing cool. If you left it ticking over it might melt it then maybe.
