I'd love to tune my cars when necessary, right on my work stand, although I've heard warnings not to do this, warning of possible driveline damage due to not having a load on the vehicle? I've seen enough vids of this being done anyone have an opinion if it's safe to run a vehicle full throttle when it's off the ground??

I never rev engines without a load on them. Any kind of engine. Rough on lower connecting rod-bearing-s. Yes, i have given thought about a stationary stand also. The r-c should be anchored solid. There is a junk yard in Kennewick, Wa with a open yard policy. Next trip over there i should take a gander - look for industrial grade dead rolls. Think up some safe way to apply a varable load on the rolls. then, mig it up.

A good stand that clamps the chassis down should be used. As stated the vehicle can shake itself off pretty quick.
