I have been trying turbo on nitro but it's basically useless.

But from a friend I have heard that turbo on 2 stroke should increase performance. Anyone tryed or tested it?

A Nitro is a 2 stroke motor as well. They all run off the same principles. I wouldnt recommend a turbo :)

all internal combustion engines are basically air pumps. if you manage to move more air through the motor, you get more power. forced induction(turbo, supercharger), and porting are all ways to move more air through the motor. with more air, means you need more fuel, and with forced induction, this gets very tricky. nitro motors are already very efficient in making power, so any more usually comes at the expense of longevity. our motors have more room for improvement, and a good port job and pipe can be massive in power gains. i believe forced induction would be sweet, but it's just not cost effective, and who really needs a 12hp 30.5 on 10lbs of boost with an 8hp shot of juice?

I don't have a clue who that is directed towards, but if that was to our admin, you need to re-evaluate. Rob was directing that to the OP, telling him to find a friend who knows more about 2 strokes.

Adding boost with a supercharger on a two stroke is almost impossible, you wil only bypass the fresh fuel mixture direct on the exhaust port.

With a turbocharger it's probably doable, in my experiment in 1:1 car I measured several brand of turbo, small one, bigger turbo, etc.... and when the turbo is in its most efficient area of his map, a turbo produce around twice the boost pressure in EMP (exhaust manifold pressure before turbo)

However you will get more exhaust gaz back into the engine than fresh mixture, anyway........ that's not an easy task to supercharge a 2 stroke.
