Well i put my gears back on my new MT gear plate with bearings, blue lock tight on all screws, started my xt up and away with it after some carb tuning went out in my field and started some 1/2 throttle figure 8's. got 3/4 through the 500CC tank and noticed my Right rear wheel seemed to be wobling. brought her back in and yep it was loose in the hub. caught it early atleast. took it apart and yep the inner wheel hub bearing totaly came apart. but like i said caught it early. so it didn't destroy the plastic at all. if i didn't drop them i'd even still have all the little balls from the bearing. so i love the mt gear plate and its going to be even better with the belt drive, which i guess will be postponed for another few weeks since my latest failure. I really want to be able to use my truck this weekend, so. i think im just going to get the xt bearings and put them in " for this weekend". both front wheels are starting to have a little slop but nothing like the right rear that failed. I guess i might as well just change all the parts that have bearings in them to MT size and get it overwith. I have no problem with the dogbones they seem pretty big actually kinda heavy. or should i get the aluminum XT hub bearing holders and call it a day. i really like the ones from 7075s they are nice. i don't want to order or buy something and find out i also need to replace the axles. i don't' want to replace the axles to CVD and find out my wheels don't work. my axle ends are a 10mm 1.50thread lock nut. my hobbystore has an xt with 6mm nuts with washers. the wheels are square hub design, not sure what size the drive square is but i could measure tomorrow. also the hobby store has an MT 700 CC gas tank on sale for $10bucks. will it fit? the parts sheet that came with my xt shows aluminum servo horns pt # 050023 but i haven't found them, these i would like to get, my steering servo arm is getting even more like a wet noodle, the servo is still working great, just the arm is really not doing so hot. bearings fail, i don't mind changing bearings, i like taking apart my xt and working on it. easy to clean when its all apart. i just don't want a bearing to fail and ruin something like when the gear plate craped out.
