Turtle clutch fitting prob

Hi I recently purchased a second hand v2 turtle complete clutch but the plate is 2mm sticking out by the brake end and the holes for that are not lining up either ,so I can’t put original spur gear e clip on ,
The shaft It’s just not poking out enough ?
Tried original and sits perfect
Any ideas plz
It’s on hpi Baja 5b forgot to say

I don’t know what it came off ? But on my hpi 5b with 29cc zenoah

Could it of been a snapper clutch ? Are they different back plate ?

you got any pics of the issue? sometimes can be easier to spot the issue with a picture rather than a description

I will post it later when I’m home hopefully you can see prob
I thought clutch housing was to wide but then standard one fits perfect with hpi clutch assembly ?

It's most likely the wrong bell for the application.

think we needs some pics cos i think its the one piece turtle clutch system by what the op says,
so turtle bell but not snapper, one piece carrier that goes right back to the input/layshaft,

Thanks for your help !
all sorted was the clutch housing to deep
Put my old one on and all fits perfect !
New one was for some reason 2mm deeper , obviously for another setup
Thanx again
