I'm brand new (don't even own one yet) to 1/5 scale and found someone selling two KM 23CC for $550 for both. Says one runs and one needs pull start. Waiting to hear back if the are in fact KMs and if they run. Only thing listed as being wrong is one has a broken pull start. I don't know if this is a good deal or a bad way to get my feet wet in 1/5

Ones a little rough, ones pretty clean looking. These are KMs right? I read theres different versions (1,2,3) any idea what version.

just by looking at the wings they are both krsc 001 which means they are 23cc single speeds when they are built. i know my newer krsc 001 is mostly orange so ill guess that those 2 are the version before the newest one, but like i said its only a guess.

Well I'm set to trade a brushless SCT and my savage for them tomorrow. We'll see how it goes.

Any suggestions on things to watch out for? I'm going to want to see atleast one run tomorrow before walking away.

even if neither of them run its still a good deal, servos are the 1st thing to upgrade but they may have allready been changed, then the pullstarts they are a bit weak, the km,1 came with plastic diff housings hard driving can split them wrecking the diff gears. alloy housings are about £15 a set , i,d run one buggy and keep the other for spares good luk,

And the deal fell through, he backed out while I was on my way to his house. Ohwell. I will probably just sell off some stuff and buy something.

Very good deal for that price 23cc kn sells for 500 British pounds witch is around 600 something dollors
I bet he realised oh poop I'm selling them to cheap lool better pull out before I regret it

That's Craigslist for ya. Just wish it hadn't taken him so damned long to backout. I still am gonna get into 1/5 just gotta wait for the next deal. Didn't bother me too much, the Guy lived in a very scetchy part of town in what appeared to be a long dirt road filled with run down possibly lived in trailors. I wasnt to excited to go in there anyways, especially coming from work and couldn't be carrying.
