So i got my rig in the post and wow its huge i hadn't seen one in the flesh so was pleasantly suprised...so i stuck the rims on and tried to lift it..yes definatley heavy..i wont want to be driving into any body with it....i need a killerbee or simular.
now looking at the truck that is now in a million bits in my RC shed i find the second gear shaft wobbles around a bit is this normal??.
Also if i push the center front dogbone forward so its fully in the front diff cup then lift the front of the truck while holding the back on the bench you can see the dogbone move back as the chassis flex kicks in...then you can push the dog bone forward into the cup again, sure its normal but thats alot of flex. i will be looking into ways to combat this and i will get the alluminium front and rear chassis braces.
Im fitting a new spektrum radio and i have now got the hitec 7.4volt steering servos in there(i may run these direct to the cel and not through the spektrum rx for extra power) and a hitec titanium gear for the throttle and brake and moded the linkage slightly
Talking about 7.4v looking on the net im thinking im cool to run the whole lot on 7.4v people saying the small hitec doesn't mind the volts and the spektrum rx will take up to 9v you guys done this?
