Hey guys,


Well I finally got my first order of 4, of parts for my Rampage make over. And part of the one I got today was the diff fluid so I can swap out the grease. What I want to know is how much stronger are the upgrade diff gears then whats in there right now. I was just going to hang on to them for spares since I have had no problems up till now. But I do I have a modded 30.5 going in also.


O and what about fluid levels? Any info on that anywere?

On the fluid levels, I just filled up to mid point. I think the only strength to the gears are the larger diff pins and the gears were slotted to accommodate the larger pins.

That's what I did with mine when I first bought it. Don't forget to temper the diff cups!


I just purchased some cups (you probably saw the thread) with smaller holes. Apparently you can drill out the cups with the smaller holes for the bigger pins. I did that and it worked well.
 
O we temper them to?? Didn't know that. Thanks.


Do we temper the wheel axles also or just the diff cups?

i have but only when it took off on me, only difference in stock axles from upgrade axles are bigger set screws to hold pins
