Well, it looks like we're going to have a crappy winter in Central Illinois. That means I'm going to spend time working on my Baja. Today I was looking up upgrading the upper and lower frame plate and various other parts to their Turtle Racing equivalent. The problem I was having is getting the parts I need in the color I need (Gunmetal or black). While I was poking around on the interweb today I saw some companies offering these parts in carbon fiber. I really like the look of the carbon fiber as it gives me the blacked out look I'm trying to achieve. What would be the advantages/disadvantages of choosing carbon fiber over aluminum? This truck is not a basher. I spend more time running on pavement than anything, but I also like for my truck to look super sharp when sitting on my workbench.
