ta in advance guys ;)

what fg is this going on? there are several lengths of fg control arms, 2 different ones for touring cars alone. as for the uprights, you need the alloy upright extension p/n 1078/01.

this is designed to raise the mounting point of the upper arm, which increases roll center. it looks like those rod ends have been modified to fit directly into the uprights, i guess that would work bit i don't think its ideal.

I have both. the ones in the first pic the rod is fairly long. I have a couple of those plastic things sitting in my parts bin, you can have them if you need. you'll have to figure out the bolt to go through them and the upright. the second pic there are a couple different versions. I have a pair of the longer ones. I someday want to get the uprights to use them hehe

or maybe we can wangle dangle a trade. I am going to be needing some stock parts to build the chassis I just bought off ebay... all because I have a body sitting here. lol

maybe you have some junk laying around. these long ones are supposed to be best on off roads changing the suspension geometry for jumping. it's not called bump steer on the back but same idea. these things remove that. I bought them from moo a long time ago with other stuff and have never used them. he did drill out the center mounting hole so a large fg ball end could be used...

just a thought.

hiya mate :-)

Mines the FG Monster Beetle (same as MT)

im still confused lol ^^ ...but i guess i need some of those alloy extenders, the only bits i have lying around are stock parts (some new) for the FG monster:

hubs - front & rear (once ive fitted my alloy ones!)
Front & Rear shock tower
Radio Tray
Engine Mount (Left & Right bracket)
Rear A-Arms (top & bottom) ...once ive fitted my alloy ones!)
Stock muffler + pipe
Zenoah 26cc Engine/pull start Cover

& prob some other bits lying around.

Let us know dude if ya interested :)

sure let me see what I can put together for you. stock parts gets it built. I can upgrade as I go. I'd just buy a roller and flop it on but buying the timing system is going to eat into christmas shopping as it is hehe.

lol :-)

ive jus had a quick browse on ebay, came across this: item number: 350235190053 looks like this is what i need to fit the A-Arms & the uprights, but im still unsure how the uprights would connect to my alloy upper arms as they are about 1cm shorter than the stock so the stock bolt wont screw into them as its not long enough?

you don't need the lenghthening arms off ebay just longer M8

left and right handed connecting rods with the plastic fg 06029/1 joints

if you don't want the plastic joints ;) go for the metal rose joints :)

K....

but looking at that pic, think i already have the longest one available (fg part that is!!) lol

the ones i have atm on my MB Pro are the 6076/1 which seem like the longest ones :( ?

guess i cud just buy 2 titanium bolts (about 70mm) long instead & use them? but i don't want to do it that way cuz the thread will be the same right through & wont have the hex bit in middle to adjust :( ?

put some pics up of the alloy top arms against the stock ones :)

also a pic of the lower arms ...are these standard for your model

will do mate, ive got alloy top & bottom arms for rear, the bottom 1s fit perfect (not fitted them yet but lined em up next to stock & exactly same size, but the uppers are defo shorter by about just under 1cm.

i think ive sorted out the hubs though, im gunna pick some of these up as they exactly same fitting as the stock so no need for other mods they will just slip right on, the alloy hubs ive got now i will just sell:

I'll buy those hubs from you tiz if you are just going to replace them. getting a 4wd baja, building another road car and just made a deal to trade for my fh mt back hehe (though it's going to be a parts donor for the car and I will sell parts off)
