Using a BEC?

I run 14A Castle Waterproof BEC's in all my rigs, because why not? They're cheap and insure consistent voltage for all my electronics. I have the Killer RC light bar kit with some cheapy ebay LED's and I feel like they are more than just a novelty. I run at night occasionally in a big open park that's more or less pitch black. The LED's allow me to run perfectly at night. They function really well as headlights and actually looks really cool in the dark. If you don't run at night in pure darkness, then no, you don't need LED's. In fact, they're annoying because they'll just blind you when making passes. BEC's are also good if your rigs have older servos that can only take max 6V. Otherwise, if you're not that great with electronics, then any 2S lipo or 2S Life will be just fine. Just make sure your servos are rated for 2S use.

Here's a short video clip I posted of the lights. Pretty fricking bright! Literally hurts my eyes looking at them.
