im wondering what mxs tires i should go for what compound and if the stock foams will work
thanks mike

o an should i get new bedlocks

ive got the extra hard compound and i will not go back...lol....as for the foams the stock will work but i have changed mine to the hostile (hard)foams you don't have to tape them...

the harder the tire, the less wear you ll have. the softer the tire the more traction you ll have.

stock foams work pretty well, but atleast do the molded for the fronts.
but in the end, the Hostile Foams are actaully less expensive (here stateside) than the HPI foams, with the Hostiel Zero Growth Foams being an exception. they are a few dollars more than the HPIs, and worth it.

alright paul iv just ordered the extra hard mxs and was wondering what you meen by tape the foams
mike

when taping started it was actually to the inside of the rubber to stop the tires from ballooning. it was most common in 1/8 truggies as the front end turned into a pizza cutter. duct tape, fibre carpet tape etc all have the strength. some even shoe goo'd that stuff on. taping the foams won't help the tires ballooning and extra hards shouldn't balloon much anyway
