Hi:
I was wondering if I fitted A Juice Box on the engine flowed by a REED Valve. Dos any one thinks this would give the best performance out of the engine.
I think the Reed Valve will prevent any back flow of the air fuel mixture, and the Box will reduce back pressure on the intake side.

I think the reed valve helps on low end torque, without sacrificing any usable top end RPM in a car or truck. (Boats are better off staying with piston port design since they want max RPM.) A good trade for someone not being able to afford the reed kit is a boost bottle. If you put a reed kit on a boost bottle is not going to be noticable enough to justify. I hope this helps. this is my $.02 for what it is worth
 
I think the Box dos smoothen the air flow. It Traps back pressure then releases it back to the engine. I believe the advantage is in the Low to Med RPM if you can test it on a dyno the power curve would be smother.
And if you ad the reed valve the advantage is grater and will carry to heir RPM.
It should act lice a shock absorber, Frequency damper.
If you are looking for the last bit of power. I believe this will help.
 
no, you cant use both, one or the other. personally the REED will do far more for performance than the juice box could ever hope to do.

ive done a fare amount of reading on them, and it appears in most cases. a more flowing air filter will get you more of a performance gain than a juice box could.

Reed induction will give you more power thruout the RPM Range. you ll get more torque and rpm with a reed over a piston port (stock type motor with or without porting work).
the Motor will need to be modified to get the most out of the reed. ie, windowed piston, 5th transfer port ( if racing this may be an issue, as alot of rules are set for 4 transfers in a motor, but this can be worked around when doing a reed.)

once the head/piston has been PROPERLY modded for the reed, you ll have one hella motor. great power from idle to top rpms.
