Anyone have any experience with the Vaterra Twin Hammer, been looking for a Elecy car for a while and 1 of my mates just got one, its a cross between a Rock crawler and off-roader, haven't seen it in the flesh yet but i like the pics i have seen....what would it cost to upgrade to better lipo's and go brushless etc on it as i haven't a clue with electric cars but i'm up for learning and this looks like a good starting point...

Looks like an Axial Wraith mate

I think i'd go with Axial as there are so many hop ups for them

Vid's so good I'm looking at how unrealistic 'the dude' is insided - hands should be on the steering wheel, which should move with the steering!
Like the vid.
Interesting sector.
Twin Hammers has been mentioned in MS-UK I think.

Had a go of the Vaterra today and looks and goes well, Phil had put Savage springs on the rears which made it a bit too stiff so it rolled too easy, the 2 speed shifter worked well even when running full throttle on low then shifted to high...it does need the front locker fitted to give that extra grip up front..the Speky that comes with it does the job fine and the high/low can be shifted by a push of the button..

Smaller than i thought but it looks to be a good budget rtr and good to throw in the boot for some quite bashing through water and over rocks..very tempted with it but i'll have a look at some other options..the Wraiths prob over my budget when you add the motor, ecu and cells to it (£400+)...

It's a pretty good setup. We have one at the shop to demo. The DX3E is perfect for it and any driver. I had my 3 yr olds give it a go since they have been playing with our AX10's since they were 2.

Also just got a Glamis in today. It's 1/8, waterproof and does 55mph with a 3s!!

Fill me in Selwa...whats a Glamis?
J:rolleyes:

We have one at my local shop in Northjersey, it's junky, cheap garbage, and def not real 1/10th scale.... For a small amount of money more you can get and axial, and a way better machine IMHO....again, just my opinion... The veterra glamis buggy looks cool, but again not worth the cash...
