Hello, recently picked up a vekta.5 with a G320 motor. From day one the buggy had a on/off weird idle, that it would increase idle speed by itself and than settle back down. Also noticed that it seemed to take a little time for the motor after giving it gas to settle back down to its correct idle. I decided to go ahead and put an RBinovations heatsink on the carb and immediately started having some weird starting issues that the buggy wouldn't start without hold the throttle slightly and than it would fire right up.
Today was the first day I had a chance to run the buggy since the weather has sucked anyways after a few minutes of running and leaning it out a bit it started to sound like it was under water or slightly boggin on throttle input. So i started to add fuel back and still the sound didn't change but actually sounded worse. So i killed the buggy to go over everything and noticed the primer bulb was about empty. I immediately thought too hot so I grabbed a temp gun and hottest spot on the motor was 128F and the spark plug base was 112F. From what I have read that is more than acceptable temps, after a few mins of resting all the fuel was out of the primer bulb and I could not re-prime it. However after an hour or so it had fuel in it. Is it possible I just got a bad carb straight out of the box with these Vekta.5?
I am new to the 2 stroke RC world got both my Five-T and this one all within a month and weather just now getting warm enough to run. This is slightly confusing, from everything I have read and previous experience with 2-stroke the motor doesn't make a bog noise or under water noise when lean it makes more of a crackling popping noise. Also as I said this buggy out of the box during break in it would vary its down idle without any input.
