Vesla shock springs!

Need somthing that will support more weight. Can any one confirm the springs in the vekta are the same?

The Taylor 50 in mine almost squashes it to the ground. Lol

Your s.o.l. if vekta ones arnt heavier. I don't know of any off the shelf heavier vekta springs, unless they came out recently.

The red irc baja/losi springs are heavier than the vekta springs. You can always message Mike/John and ask them for dimensions of those to see if they would fit.

Yes, I have a set of those on my Hpi Baja 5 Off Him . The diameter of the spring on the kraken is larger.

niz, suggestions where to look? Found one place exact replacement springs for 72usd each. Lol. Nothing heavier.

Measurements are

I’d- 1.425”
OD- 1.68”
Length- 4.6”
Diameter of wire - .126”

Check on McMaster Carr. That's where I bought mine from for the fronts on the vekta.5. if they don't have anything your size you can always put in a custom order.


Are the rear shocks on the velsa same as the vekta .5 fronts? If so here are the ones I got for mine. They were absolutely perfect for the heavy front end big bore vekta.5.

Stock weight was 24 lb 10 oz
Current bc weight is 37 lb
There is an adjusting collar that will allow a 5” spring.
4” at ride height

Those just might work.
Fronts and backs on the vesla are the same. Different preload.

You can also install some type of tubing on the shaft to make it stiffer. I did that on the limitless when I was doing speed runs and worked very good.

Here is the correct one. (Pretty sure)

You can convert MM to inches and it is very very close to stock spec. But the length is 4.134" so little shorter as you can see in the picture I posted.


Return those springs and let me know what is the cost and I will PayPal you the funds.

No worries. I am emailing with a company in Ontario that took all the specs from me they are going to do a proper 5” long spring. I might order a bunch of them, they will be a custom order. The front and back of the vesla uses the same spring. So at least that’s easy.
That spring actually looks good. Too bad it wasn’t an inch longer.

@niz55 perfect fit. Be nice if they were 1” longer but the spring rate is perfect. I need to thicken up the shock oil a bit.

No the stainless ones. Might talk to them and do a custom order for a set 1” longer.
