Hey there every one .Have new victory pipe for my 5t 2.0. Has any one left it bare and if you did what did you so it don't rust.I painted my other one with vht paint holding up no problems . BUT it looks so nice bare .Just wonder what any one else has done.

Use vht flame proof clear coat so it won't rust.

Saw a video the other day and The guy from RC Sparks was rubbed the down pipe/ cleaning it with 2 stroke oil. Keeps is from rusting and gets a nice patina . He was working on a Kraken.

does it make the patina when it burns off? if so id do that before clear coating it

You don't clear coat it . You just wipe it down with 2 stroke oil during cleanings . Leaves a thin film behind .

oh that's another method, personally id clear coat it cuz less stuff to do but other people, other preferences

I would think the clear coat would burn off . Personally I've never seen a Hi temp clear coat . Granted that doesn't mean one doesn't exist . I do know that the pipe on my Baja gets hot enough to easily melt the plastic parts on it . LOL.

The flameproof paints do not burn off. Just make sure you "cure" the paint
I've never used their clear coat though, but I guess it works the same as the the color ones.

I actually prefer a ceramic coating. I sent a pipe to Jet-Hot Coatings at the same time I had an exhaust system done for my car.

Well that's like top notch stufd but it's also expensive, I'm talking a cheap way
