bLINKIN HECK jon, 7hp, sounds like they've done a real turn on that motor.

Bloody conservative figure as well, scotty recons could be over 7.5. Got the ignition coil on. also tried it with a 4mm x-port and it gave approx..5hp on the dyno so Jackrod has made an 8mm x-port and scotty again recons it will be even better.

cheers dudes;) should be jon
Flippin heck jon:w00t: gonna have to have one of them TPS ignition systems me thinks!!

... starting to sound like Italian power figures of the 60s and 70s !!!
With that power .... and stock being under 3, that's quite a hike !!

Should be very interesting. Does it come all of a sudden with a 'whoosh' at the top end?
Is the rev range extended beyond the typical 19-20k max?
Is this weekend the 'first trial' so 'don't know' to these questions?

Enjoy as you obviously will Jon.

First run in the car this weekend, got it all installed this week with transponder (reqd' for the race track), new pipe and kill switch.

Got dyno's from Scotty so from them it looks like power throughout the rev range, it has been ported for smooth power and with mine and Jackrods motors he has tried a new way of lightening the flywheels and pistons that have proved very succesfull. These motors were commissioned especially for racing rather than bashing so they are the only ones currently in existence.

Also tried different pipes and finally tuned to the CPI pipe over the Samba as the CPI has been designed to fit the car. The CPI is a smidge down on power on the samba but with a few little mods was made to produce very similar power. It has a very flat torque curve producing max torque from 9000 rpm to 17,000 rpm whereas the Samba produces a little more torque but it only hits peak torque at 12,500 rpm keeps it to 13,500 rpm.

Should be good to see how the ignition pack works also, it gives only small gains on the dyno over the newly modded scotty flywheel, but apparently it spools the engine up so much faster which thedyno does not really show, plus it does not drag the engine on throttle off and makes a very clean burn with lower plug fouling.

The real proof will be on the race track.

get a bit of running vid. id like to hear the pipe unsilenced.
i really feel the CPI BB had a wide powerband, and your info confirms that. though i did estimate a later start and end than what you shown, that could be the differances between the motors we run. plus my cpi still has the silencer.
