I'm posting this thread on here to help anyone with a video camera purchase.

I've only included two video cameras at this time, the "MD80 mini cam video recorder" (cheapo) and the "Epic Sport video cam" (expensive) using my quad.

I will add other video comparisons to this in the near future using my rig rather than my quad. I do have the keychain video camera, GoPro video camera, Flip share video camera and the Kodak playsport HD all which are a good size for adding to your rig.

I hope this helps you out in any way shape or form!

I mounted (duct tape, lol) the MD80 to the headlight of my quad and the Epic sport has it's own mount on the front rack.

The MD80 comes with a few mounts and want not. I have seen them on eBay for 6 bucks or less if at auction, You can't beat that!! I would stick with that if you were going to get a mini cam the K808 keychain cam is a hit or miss if you get a good one or not.

The Epic Sport has a new HD one out now, I haven't seen the video yet. It is $200 bucks though, that's a lot considering you could pick up something else just as good or better for a lot less. Like the GoPro for around $150!

I think I paid almost $100 for my Epic Sport.

Now the memory cards have a lot to do with the quality so don't skimp on those!

They can get very expensive depending on the storage size. I think "Sandisk" is a good brand. I'm not sure what card I had in my Epic Sport the time I recorded this video but I will put a good one in and give it another shot.

If you look at my profile, I've got an album on there with pics of a GoPro (Which, in my opinion are awesome!) that I mounted on my rig. They come with a lot of mounting stuff. They are around $150 but they're worth it!

I just posted a new thread "new body" that shows my GoPro cam.

What cam are you using now and have you figured out where and how your mounting it.

I am going to try a set of these. not much easier way to film than to look at what you want to record
That's a great idea! They're pretty cheap too!

I think I'll grab a pair myself! I hope the video

is as good as the MD80! We'll see! I'm done with the keychain cam though!

I got one that was DOA, one that quit working after 2 weeks

And one that the video quality is horrible right from the start!

They are too much of a hit or miss and i've got 3 misses!

That's about the size of it! I did serve 8 years as a fireman in the Air Force.

I went looking and found a higher resolution set for about the same money. .. ya those keychain cams are hit and miss. I know some worked once, then never again, some never worked and some have taken serious beatings.

this one is 480X720

wow that md80 kicks. same guys in the link above have the md80. maybe made by the same mfg? now I want to buy both LOL
I'll snoop around before I commit to a certain pair of glasses right now. This pesky work thing keeps getting in my way! :D

I really like my md80 so far, it's been a keeper! They have various md80's out there so look around a little...also I think there is a md90(?) now, no time right now to look at it, I gotta run off to work. :(

I found these. They are pretty salty but look quality made. I think just a little too much for me though!

That website has a ton of video cameras be careful though I think some stuff is overpriced! :)

Oh yeah...I did just the other day pick up a MD90s at a really great price on eBay. Some sellers on there have them jacked up way too high, be careful I got mine for $27 with shipping! I did notice that they do make other models, like the MD91s and others but they get up in the 100 dollar range. They seem to be nice but maybe a little too rich for the Rampage cam, well...I do have a GoPro Hero as my main cam, the others are just for secondary filming, like the rear and want not. :D The GoPro averages around $150/160 somewhere around there. Soo...I probably shouldn't complain about price!

some stuff? holy crap. $300 glasses that need external storage? I'd duct tape a go pro to my head first
HaHaHa! I think you got that right! They ARE raping the consumer with their prices! some stuff looks like it came from china manufacturers or either china copied their products! China is notorious for that sort of thing! Anyhoo, I just thought you might like the site. I like to at least look, for ideas and wantnot!
