So I just got my Dunerunner and I installed a Walbro 990 carb. Everything worked fine for about 5 minutes. Then engine died and wont restart. Tried to prime the engine with the clear bulb on top of the carb but it's not sucking fuel into the carb. The hoses are kink free. No clogs. I removed the bulb from the carb to look for signs something was wrong but everything looks fine. It still wont fill the clear bulb when you press it.

Any idea how to fix it?

Double checked. When I try and prime the bulb I can see air bubbles coming out of the fuel line end. It seems to be sucking air in and blowing the air down the fuel line instead of picking up the fuel. Could this be a bad carb?

Make sure that the fuel line that's coming from the primer, goes inside the tank and feed oil back into the tank. Not to the filter. The other line that's from the bottom of the carb... goes to the filter inside the tank. In the other words, the line next to the primer button is the return line....

The line from the primer bulb is the return. It sounds like you have them reversed. The in bound line is connected to the clunk filter in the tank. It should be connected to the bottom go the carb.

Never mind I'm a damn retard. I had the pick up fuel line on the top of the carb instead of the bottom where it's suppose to go. Maybe my dumb mistake will help someone else out in the future.

We've all done it. Don't feel bad. When it comes time to install new lines I recomend the transparent ones. You can see which way the fuel is flowing.

Yep... I think I can never go back cause I like to see my fuel flowing through :D

Check the another way to vent thread out in the engine part of the forum and you'll see in the pic that I marked the lines because I can't remember which is which 5 minutes after I put them in the tank. I know I'm showing my age. Oh well what can I say.

It's a common occurrence, dude. Don't sweat it!

Done sweating. Was more pissed at myself than anything else at the time. I can't say how the stock carb does but from what I read it isn't great. I can say after breaking this in the Walbro 990 is great. Was very easy to tune, starts pretty easy and I have no complaints. I have no idea if it makes more power than the stock carb but if things continue like this it's going to be very hassle free.
