Walbro 998

Just wanted to let you guys know, I just got a walbro 998 from RCDAD and installed it on my xb ! It is amazing the throttle response! Stock motor, stock clutch, jet pro rear mount pipe, and DT-1 air filter, 3 pulls and it starts and runs like a raped ape!

I have a 813 on my MT. 998 will be my next carb for my DR. They are a great carb. 5 pumps on the trigger & away it goes.

From what I've read, the 998 and the 813 are the same carb. They're just labeled differently.

The 998 is the new model number for the 813, it has better metering, that's all.

I sent Walbro an email last night about the 998 specs. So that should clear things up.

I honestly don't know. I can't even find the 998 on Walbro's site. We'll see what they say. I asked for specs on the 603, 668, 813 and the 990, as well. Just so we have access to that information.

Still no news on the carbs? you know anything RC DAD ? Deluge that email must have went on the the slow boat to china LOL

Everything i have read indicates that the 813 is the same as a 990, but has a accelerator pump & the 998 is a new model number for the 813 but with better metering.

If this is all true, then i find it interesting that there is a decent price difference between all 3.

I haven't heard anything, yet. To be fair, I did ask for quite a bit of info so it could take some time. Plus, I'm sure there are more than a few emails ahead of mine. I'll post all of the info as soon as I get it.

Thanks Deluge, Just checking, I am really interested in this I am telling you this carb works really well I have ran almost 3 tanks through it. It runs way better than the 990 I had on it!
