Walbro WT-1242A

I got a Walbro WT-998 carb and might get the Walbro WT-1242A to try since it's a better carb.
Has anyone compared these carbs and how much better is the Walbro WT-1242A.

Depends what engine you have .
I have one on my Taylor 35 reed , works great if you don't mind not having a choke .

i only got engines up to 30cc i guess there is no benefit with a Walbro WT-1242A compared to the Walbro WT-998 carb.

Not really.
Just flows more air and fuel when you need it in a more tuned engine.

There is a such thing as being over carbed, but for most cases all these wt carbs are sized for 30-50cc engines and work fairly well within that range + or - a few cc. Most wouldn't notice much of a performance bump just swapping them, if just bashing.

If running pump gas with ethanol, that would be a benefit, since these are ethanol resistant. That's the main reason I got one for my 32.

Being a gas rc noob and from Commifornia, what other than bulb makes it ethanol resistant?

The primer bulb and spiral diaphragm. Other then that it's still made out of aluminum like every other carb. Just purge the carb with canned fuel if you're not gonna run it for a while.
