Hello, I was rebuilding my walbro wt998 carb for my baja 5b and a ball bearing fell out. However I don't know where it came from. I've spent hours googling the carbs but had no success on finding any info on rebuilding the original how the go together. Please help someone this is the last thing I can think of doing to find info. Thankyou

It's looks like the detent ball used to hold the choke in the position you place it in. It goes inside the carb body. You must have removed the shaft to have that fall out. I don't see a choke lever in your picture though....

Well, either the main shaft has a spring loaded friction ball for some reason or its something to do with the accelerator pump. I haven’t used one without a choke or with an accelerator pump. I've also only seen those balls on the choke shaft. Interesting...
 
You shouldn't need to remove the main shaft or choke shaft, if the carb has one, to rebuild it unless it uses bearings on the throttle shaft and they are bad. I don't believe they come standard that way. I believe its an aftermarket upgrade from places like OBR.
 
The ball is still in the purge body. The one that fell out is mutch bigger. there is a wedge slot in the shaft in that hole what looks like the ball goes in somehow. However I couldn't get it in. So I don't know if that is where it went or goes somewhere else.

Most likely it fits up on a hole, with spring that keeps tension on it, somewhere in the area of your arrows. I don't have one here I can look at without removing my choke version off my engine.
