They would nearly have to leave the windows down or else the whole car would be like a piece of popcorn........POP...:party-time:

You recognise him quite easily when he is driving down the road.......the car will be pulsing forward with the bass & some numpty will be behind the wheel bleeding from the ears. Take your pic from these likely suspects.....

Maybe its just me (mid 30's now :clown:) but I don't get why anybody would want to have that set up in a confined space :confused: don't get me wrong I like quality sound systems but the bass on that would rattle your eyeballs to the back of your head. You would be driving down the road quivering like you just been tazered. There are a few near us that have similar in their 1L euro boxes and you can hear em coming from about 4 miles away.........I just don't get it :confused:

pardon?

nah, but, it all seriousness, I hate it, its not finished yet, currently I'm running a single 12inch sub, off about 800watts rms, in a "special" box, and its too much bass.

the pictures are off six 18inch subs, which will be run off 6000watts...

SPL comp maybe???

SPL competition(s) was kinda the idea, but the design was intended for music.

the boxes are tuned somewhere around 25Hz, so it'll do "knock your head off" lows, and most likely take the rear windows out with it...

I wanted the setup so I could still see out the back window, rather than doing a wall, I also wanted the boxes easily removable, but that isn't going to happen, as they're bolted to the chassis of the car, before the subs are screwed down. :omg:

I was into the huge bass thing a few years back....I had a Datsun 260C with 4 Eclipse 12" subs mounted free air in the rear shelf.....or what used to be the rear shelf..

I entered a db comp down in Tassie and pulled 138 db @ 22hz powered at a conservative 250w rms a peice...those darn things would shake your eyes from thier sockets.......

But I didn't even come close to a win.....a bloke turned up in an old shaggin wagon with the back decked out with 20 Xplod 12's.....10 on each side...and a truckload of mono block amps.....the fookin thing must have weighed about 10 ton....

He took the win with 149 db @ 25 hz.......painful..

Just goes to show what mummy's money can do....

I had two 8inch subs, off about 200watts each, doing 138dB in a station wagon, was at 44Hz though from memory.

The last install I actually entered in a competition was six 12inch subs, getting a (measured) 1800watts total. Did 150dB at 54Hz (from memory as well)

This install was thrown together the day before the competition though, just for sh!ts and giggles.

single 18mm MDF box, no bracing, amplifier sitting on the passenger seat, with a second battery sitting in the foot well, connected to the main battery. subwoofer box in place of the back seat in a wagon..

ah what fun!

I've got a little bit more thunder down under now.....

I ditched my 12 inch Sony Explod sub in favour of 2-12 inch MIK subs....

They are powered at 250w rms a piece..

Not competition worthy but....they deliver a shite load more boom than the single 12" sony ever could....

A toilet run is a must before you dial up the volume or else you will have an accident in ya trousers:blush::no:
