I've upgraded to 24mm hubs and running 5b rims with proline bowties all the way around the car and noticed a masive decrease in turning radious with the car is their any fix for better turning or is it the price u pay for the bigger wheels and tires

 PICS PLEASE!!!!!!!

Are you getting full throw on your servo? Have you moved your EPA on your transmitter yet? Just trying to cover the basics. And Yes, bigger tires= larger turning radius.

I'll running bowties but all fronts. I've lowered my diff fluid to 1k front and rear and as soon as I did I noticed I can yank the car sideways on whim. Big tires + heavy diff fluid = bad steering.

I'll give the diff fluid a change and see if that helps I sort of figured with the big wheels and the tons of traction those wheels give I'd run into some sort of prob even after the change my steering link between the left and right keeps popping out so I've ordered the aluminum steering hopefully that will fix that little prob

Using this thread for relative sake. Does anyone know the stock diff fluid weight? I plan to step it down, but was just curious what it is. I was turning the gear box by hand, seemed heavy as heck.

No one knows the stock diff fluid weight. I would say around 10k ?
Its as thick or maybe even thicker than the TFE 30k fluid I have leftover from the Baja builds.

But do like Demon said, go as thin as you can without getting leaks. I will be switching to 3k up front and 7k in the rear this weekend.

Figured I'd touch base back in this thread for future readers. I've got my XT back up and running, went with 3K all around and boy what a difference.

The stock stuff was as thick as the damm axle grease on the gear box pinion. It was so thick and tacky, it about stuck my fingers together. I turned the diff upside down after opening, and it took about 5 minutes for the sludge migrate down. No pouring that poop out.
