Just Curious If any one here has tried a reed engine. I know they have to make more power. I bet it would make a good engine for the MT! I want something with ridiculous HP And Torque on my MT. I like the thought of a 62cc. Im sure its a Torque monster! The reed engine looks promising. Im gonna start researching all the Info i can find on these reed and ported engines.. Wish i could get a a CR80 engine on a MT :) I want that Powerband.


So i know someone here has the same mentality as me.Gotta Build a engine that will ring the drive shafts off if gag it LOL I want POWER!!!! at least get the MT to pull the front wheel on the asphalt. LOL

We have two TS reeds we use for testing. Both of them are in heavy MCD's. I can tell you that a ONB 30.5 reed port setup is fast as hell. In my opinion it's probably all the power you would ever want which not blowing your drivetrain out every 2 runs.


Im going to try a 23 or 26cc TS setup sometime soon. It should be killer in a lightweight car like my XB.
 
Thanks D!! My brains been smokin since i got the MT. I Gotta have another MT with SICK engine. Demon your belt drive systems Look very nice!!! When will u have them for MT/TT???
 
Right about the same time we release the 2-speed. :) It'll be around early fall I suppose as we have a few designs on the 2-speed we are still testing. Duel belt drive, gear drive, etc. I could convince my partner to release the belt drive now but it'd take a shotgun and/or a few prostitutes to do so.
 
Very cool!! Its a beast !! But looks way to slow for me. seems like it needs a taller gear? :) and all the breaking up in High RPM Sucks!!! LOL

I should be ashamed of myself. I finally gave in and ordered a Baja 5B kit and been watching Fast Eddy's step by step video tutorial on how to assemble the kit. This is a 50cc O'neill motor. Think what a 62cc can do

so the kit is $798($898 with the motor) plus $999 for the 62cc motor and $398 for the conversion kit and I'm good to go. Told the wifey I'll stop upgrading my XT with alloy parts if I can get my 5B build started. She said a sweet "YES" It's gonna take time though but I don't mind. I'm not sure if Redcatracing or any of the hopup Gurus are eyeballing the possibility of mounting this beast on a Ramp, any Ramp or I would be willing to wait. :D

hey, if you come up with a wiiner, share it with us here. A lot of us here are just dying to get our hands on that 62cc motor! Even where I live, we got 7 XTs' but we just don't have the tools to fabricate to make this beast sit on our trucks. :(

Pulling wheelies with like 30-44 gearing isn't slow, stock baja gearing is 17/55 or so. Watch the other video link, not the youtube one. The you tube video was at RCX and it wasnt geared high enough but still for 50+mph.


Read this thread and watch all the vids, it makes the 62s, and twins look bad IMO.
