When I ordered my new engine I also ordered the Rb Inovations Hyper charger.

Well the scoop will not fit inside the Chrome Steel KM roll cage. But for me its no big deal, I just wanted a paper filter to i just unbolted it and not running the scoop. Then i just added the km pre filter around it.

On the plus side, it is the cheapest paper filter i could find. I plan on taking my rotary tool and cutting it up to open the filter up.

I was just looking at pics of them installed, they all look like they were installed on the plastic type roll cage. May just be that my cage is a little warped. but there was no way i would get it over the scoop. I even tryed to install it with the cage on and no luck that way either.

Maybe try tweeking the metal cage abit or install the plastic type, Be a damn shame to cut up the filter box:(
 
I would throw the problem at Dave's.
Not like them to market a product that's not kosher.

Send them an e-mail, asking for advice and suggestions.
They're good guys and always help where necessary.

But it does fit the 5b just fine its just that the KM steel roll cage is fatter bars and sits lower then the regular HPI roll cage that is what will make it not fit the KM cage the hpi windows will not fit the KM steel roll cage also that's why I changed my roll cage to the regular HPI cage.

That's what I was thinking. I am getting a team chase cage for it in a month so then I might be good.

I just wanted to warn others that wanted the filter system for looks. All I wanted it for was the paper filter since I run on sand 80% of the time and had to change the foam filter after every tank. I had 3 foams and was getting tired of cleaning them all the time.

The scoops not a deal breaker but for some it could be.
