Yeah,i've bought stuff from the states before and the postage cost more than the items did!
Maybe I should move there to live,,,,,,,,,,,missus might not agree with my reasons but!!

Just had a look at powerslide's site and priced a shock up for an MCD,they came back with.....wait for it....£170.41p...FOR ONE SHOCK!!!!!!!
don't know whats worse, getting ripped off or not receiving your item :) :)

Erm...our prices on MCD are very competitive with worldwide prices, I highly doubt anyone in Australia could buy an MCD from the USA or elsewhere cheaper than buying one from us.
We don't have any MCD shocks in stock so the price means nothing, we don't have time to adjust prices on out of stock items and shocks in particular we have never had any in stock so the listed price is most likely based on MCD's RRP's which are irrevelant to street prices.
I'm guessing you were looking at the Ultimate shocks and these actually come in pairs, yes our description says one shock, it will be updated when we have stock.

I totally agree Ambro.
That's why I buy all my baja stuff off them.
Got another order with them this week!

The MCD stuff seems exxy to me coz baja stuff is not that much.
I also don't own an MCD car!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Yet,,

,,,,,,Rossco,,,,,,,

Hope you finally got your parts you ordered..man that sucks , how some can do buisness like that is beyound me.

Hey Rossco and others accrossed the pond , I hear ya on the over-seas prices , everytime I purchase some carp fishing tackle from England I cry at the cost of shipping.

I don't know why things would be much cheaper here in the USA...we must import everthing now , hard to find anything here thats made in the States anymore....this place is going in the crapper...trust me you guys don't want to move here.
Heck most of the stuff we buy everyday is made in Asia , you would think you guys would get it cheaper than us...plus its not like the good old American dollar is all that strong anymore and with our new idiot President it wont get any better , I feel the worst is yet to come !!!!!!!

There is no need for me to make a fictional price up POWERSLIDERACING.The price I saw was on your site and Rossco seen it to.Since then you have altered the price as I have seen.Anyone who is on the forum is obviously on a P.C or MAC so they have connection to the net and if they would want ,could check on your price at the time I posted it(as Rossco did) I know MCD prices are steep but it was I was advised to your site but could not justify the MCD price. If you don't stock MCD parts why advertise them??? I looked at stock you didnt have and it put me off! I think if I was in your situation I would have not had parts on my site that couldnt be bought (apart from its false advertising)
Good luck with future sales ,we are all busy this time of year and things like price change and stock updates can be over looked.

ROD,I am not knocking the site,it was just what I seen at the time.
COYOTE,I know where you are coming from, impoting parts is a real pain in the arse with the shipping times and costs. As you can see I live in the UK and went to order a part from a certain manufacturer in the Netherlands until I seen the shipping costs! The part only weighed a few grams and the postal price was extortionate, and I mean extortionate!
If you look through a few of my threads you know I buy 95% of my gear through online shops and I am not afraid to spend my money, but what I save in prices I loose in shipping. As said, swings and roundabouts.....Oh well.

Hey Guys,

Guess what showed up today? Thats right, my FS MT alloy wheel hubs! It only took 3 1/2 months to get them, but get them I finally did! They also sent me a set of upper and lower arms for nothing, as a peace offering or just to be nice I guess! I guess perseverence does pay off! I would still be a little careful when ordering things from them! These hubs came over in just a few days by UPS with a tracking number this time!

I went to oversize yesterday to get a diff out drive for my baja...(blew one in the first 10 mins of the day) & they didn't have any in stock so....I asked them how much for a complete diff (I had already checked out the website & the price for a complete alloy cased diff was $65+$10 postage) and the dopey bastard wanted $100 over the counter???????

His lame excuse was.."I have to pay wages, store overheads,,,blah blah blah" for everything sold from the shop.

But they run their website from the shop, so what is the difference??

The difference that I can figure is that they smoke something entirely different from the rest of us.

I ended up having to pay new retail price for a second hand drive cup.

I had no choice as no one else had any or they were to far away.

I wont be going back to them ................................... That's for damn sure !!!

Hey, I live about 2 km from their shop. Used them a couple of times for over the counter stuff for a nitro buggy of mine. No personal complaints.

I have seen allot of complaints though where stuff has been ordered and they need to send stuff out.

Ill be going there on weekend for some more parts for my buggy and would be happy to pass something along if you like. Let me know. :)

Hi good evening,

I was just wondering if you would have a number or new email address for these clowns. I ordered a few items that never arrived. It seems to be the same thing going on still?? I guess people will have to stop shopping there.

If you could help me out that would be great.

Thanks,

Sorry no contact number anymore, they have recently closed, this has been confirmed by the owner who I bumped into at the local shops, looks like their poor customer service finally caught up with them!

Ok, thanks for the information.

I guess Paypal won't recover any monies that are owed to me from this place. Guess I'm calling my Credit Card issuer.

Have a great Christmas.

Ed

sorry to hear mate, didnt know you had paid for something and not received, don't like your chances of ever seeing the part but contact paypal and advise them ASAP, also mention you know for sure their business has closed.

paypal will have contact info for the owners, they can be very proactive, cerntainly would be the first step
