I have a KM 30.5cc Baja 2.0. Just took it out for the first time this spring and ran into a very deep puddle. I got out if the puddle just fine and then the motor quit. Looking for some tips on what I need to do to get it running again. This is the first time Ive ever had any problems with the car.

Welcome to LSF.
Disconnect and remove the battery.
Depending on HOW WET, I'd consider removing the servos and dry them out on a warm radiator, possibly open them up too if suspect got seriously immersed.
GENTLY pull the pullstart - does the engine turn over?
It may be water / hydraulic / hydrostatically locked
(Found this link for ideas: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/technical-stuff/6330-hydrostatic-lock-k-water-lock.html)
This is if the engine doesn't turn over - DO NOT FORCE IT.
Simply remove the plug, and probably better the carb and exhaust as well and simply empty and dry out.

Possibly getting ahead of ourselves. If it turns over, it may simply need a dry filter and plug.

It is not water locked. I got the plug removed and drained out as the fuel in case it was compromised. Basically starting from a dry start. Just have to get a new plug before I get to carried away with motor work. Thanks for the input.
