Went to Hawthorn Park In Pontiac (Michigan) today. Had a Blast. Big track for 1/5 scale. Great place to hold some racing. Here are some pics.

I will be hanging out here all summer long on most weekends. Hope we have some people on the forums here that would like to go and race around. Hit me up anytime for some racing.

Thanks guys. Had a ton of fun. Along side the RC track there is a playground for the kids, BBQ's, bathrooms and even a dock with a old boat access with fishing. It's a nice park to hang out at for a few hours. Here is a short vid to watch while I go and fix what broke...lol

Looks like fun.... quick question does your buggy nose dive off every jump? I only noticed you got air twice in this vid but both times it nosed down, also noticed you do'nt have much pre-load on your springs, I know you did not hit the jumps with a whole lot of speed, so that could be part of it maybe a suspension expert can chime in here, from what I have heard not enough pre-load in the rear and you get the rear of the chassis slapping as you leave the jump causing the vehicle to nose dive, but too much pre load in the rear can have the same effect.

Can anyone comment on this, I come from the brushless scene where weight bias is usually more center'd

They are the stock springs. I have not done anything to them yet. Soon that will change. For the most part the buggy does dive down a little but not too bad.

My wifes parents live in walled lake ill have to try and get out that way. Im over near Jackson MI. There is a track in the Hillsdale area also. Your track looks like a blast! Does it cost anything to run on it? I have kids so the whole playground/bbq thing really sounds inviting.
