as the title implies, what could be the culprit? i when i was racing this weekend always wants to nose dive during the jump. Its not as bad as when i had the big heavy mt tires but it still a hindrance. i even try to throttle out to even but that doesn't seem to work. Any ideas? suspension setup? Thanks!!!

most of the nose diving is cause of gyroscopic effect. next time you start your car, put a 2x4 under the chassis -left to right, midway under the chassis. lightly hang on to the car- and rev it up- it will dive forward.- this effect is cause the engine turns counter clockwise. - a losi will try to twist sideways- a fg brand of car has the best idea- the engine sets in the oppsite direction- carb in the rear- exhaust towards the front- this causes the car to be able to be corrected in mid air-to a extent-- the draw back to the fg is the filter- as the dirt-dust boils up - the filter is in direct line o fire.- You can compansate for this gyro scopic effect to a extent with suspension adjustments- trial and error.- and mod your driving style.

yea, i should not say fg has the best idea- the effect really helps the cars track out- hold the road. my driving style?- I need to keep the tires on the ground anyways- lol!

I would think you could harden your front suspension and soften the rear. Keep your fuel tank full for the added weight in the back. Other than that, Im out of ideas.
I tried to do that but the back end slaps off the top of the jump and makes the nose dive worse.

thanks i never thought that much about it!! i just have to remeber that this is a heavyweight and is slow to respond to throttle inputs in the air. i will also try to play with suspension after this season to get a better feel of this truck!! Thanks Guys!!!

Hit the throttle and hold it just off a jump if the nose is dropping. Big thing to remember. Relax the throttle just before you launch and don't land with full throttle or the brakes on. If you're nose high, tap the brakes. The tires and wheel gyroscopic effort is huge, bigger and heavier the tires and wheels are, the more effect you'll see. This even works with a Dune Runner like mine, smaller, shorter wheelbase (and lighter) rigs of course react more, and faster. 4X4 rigs react better then 2X4. And keep the steering centered while you're in the air, if you don't it will roll on ya, to the right if you throw left steering, left for right. Till you get the hang of it, just keep the steering centered.

Happy landings!

Remember, keep the steering centered while it's in the air. Left will roll the rig to the right, right to the left. Something to try after you get the launch attitude nailed. The more abrupt and steeper jumps will cause you to back flip, or land on the lid if you hit them too fast. Too slow on a steep and abrupt jump, and the nose WILL fall thru. Sometimes you just can't go for air and have to roll it. Just practice and it becomes second nature.

Well what I am doing is adding more weight in the back, don't know if it will help but i'm taking my battery out and adding it plus 1 in my rear bumper..... just an idea
