I am looking for a good digital camcorder. I just bought a rc hero for in car filming and have been looking for an out of car handheld to film with. I was looking at the sony webbie but both of them had too many negatives in the reviews for me. What format do I want to record in? The webbies are MP4. I want to put my videos somewhere on the web so that google video and you tube can pull it up and I can share my hijinx. Any suggestions? I want to stay under $150 shipped.

im not a camera guru. don't know much about them, so i stick to the basics. for all my vids i use the "flip" digatel recorder. super easy. it has a direct link to quickly down load to youtube, or myspace. it takes about 1.5 hours for my computer to down load an 8minute film were down loading from the flip software only takes 10 minutes, but the editing is limited to cutting clips and adding text/music. i also have the action mount ontop of my radio so I can film and drive. all of my action shots are takin from my flip as well. for me the picture/video quality is fine for veiwing on the computer and posting pics. cheap, really durable, easy to use. negatives is the zoom is limited, small 2" screen and rechargable battery pack is extra(takes 2 AA'S wich last a long time). i have 2. the 120 minute and the 60min HD.

Krypto good advice. I did my cnet research and looked online and went to bestbuy.com. Every review said flip ultrahd 2hour 8gig so that is what I got. Very nice. So now Im working on a video with a GoPro (hd) and flip (hd). I almost got all the footage and Im packing them up for 4 months so in a bit all Ill have left to do is video editing.
