csr im in the same boat as you mate i want to go on road but im not selling the bug to do it,,,im building one from bits and bobs from ebay again just like i did with the beetle have you thought about doing it that way will take longer but you can have both

I was thinking that myself but i don't really want to sell my baja...

thats the one it is painted now still gathering dust as it did a trebors house,,,im building a evo/comp spec car haven't brought anythink else for it in ages going to get back on it now
 
sportline basic all plastic base model,,,, comp spec all alloy different chassis 8mm thick alloy arms,,diff,,hubs ect. evo spec top of the range all alloy and carbon goodies very nice and very pricey but most of all very nice
 
oh and sportsline new without radio gear @£750/£800 comp spec new same as before no radio gear @£1400/£1600 and lastly the evo spec car is @£2000/£2500

Renbar, cut all them windows out apart from the front one, make sure all the edges are smooth and rounded off.

Getting there mate, you will love onroad, no doubt in my mind...

yeah i will be cutting out the windows but not just yet il wait till it runs at the mo theres no chance of it getting hot as its got no engine or running gear
