Depends mainly on what type of surface you run on. I have never been a fan of the badlands. I used Hostile Mini MX V2 rears all around on my TT, my bash/track surfaces were a mix of hardpack and loose soil. They offered the best all around performance for what I ran in. The MXs can offer extreme performance in the loose stuff, but you suffer on hardpack.

29\31 steel gears and hpi baja rear wheels all around with mx knobbys rears and badlands on the front??
I run same gears and hostile mini mx all way round and it hooks and gets it , If your running area is soft , loose , and not maintained or counstruction rough you should be ok with that set up. On hard packed smooth BMX type track the badlands will not grap as good as the rear and you will get a push feeling.
