Just a poll to see who thinks what.


OBR Machined & Race Ported 2 bolt 30.5cc Motor With Stuffed 2mm Crank


OR


ESP Modified & ESP Fully Ported 4-BOLT 27.2cc Engine With Stuffed 2mm Crank
 
I think OBR 30.5 but ESP 27.2 would be better for me because head is in 4 bolts which is kinda good. IMO
 
Id take the 4 bolt Zen 27.2 over the 2 bolt 30.5. As far as power the Esp might make more, OBRs race porting isnt all that aggressive.
 
why not an obr 4 bolt? a 27 will rev higher than a 30 so it will have better top. could even consider the new cy 4 bolt motor just came out. TMR has been doing dyno testing on one and will have a 4 bolt zen on the dyno to compare shortly
 
Blah blah blah with the 27.2's.....it'll rev higher? Who has the space to run flat out for more than a second or two.....get the 2nd biggest, baddest motor and never look back...ONB 4-bolt Zenoah 30.5 race-ported!

Rivalry and sarcasm, I like it! I see your point w/ the revs but I love it like my electric woobie in winter. I make full use of my revs and even swapped my 29/31 to go faster w/bowties. Its a OBR race ported 27.2 w/ sprint77 jetpro v3 and 8k clutch. Id like to try a standard non ported 30.5 though.
 
I could say blah blah blah get the biggest cc you can stuff in because some have this size enigma they are making up for in other areas ;)


surprised you haven't tried the 60cc conversion lol
 
what do you guys think about the stock 30.5 that comes in the pro i got the 26cc stock in my other v3 and it sure seems my 30.5 kicks ass it seems pretty fast and powerful i cant max it out really it gets a little scary for me cause i get it up to say 3 quarters and i let off cause i don't want to end up running into something but i still want more power so i would like to know what you guys think about the stock 30.5 is it a good engine i have ran 5 tanks through it and haven't had even one little problem im thinking about swapping it for the ported and polished from daves well actually i know i am going to swap it for the the one from daves the 4.5 horse power for 425$ and then put my 30.5 stock one into my other rampage with the 26cc i am new to this the rampages are my first rcs ever and god damn there insane i love these damn trucks and this forum you guys seriously rock never seen such good people in my life so willing to help a total stranger that just rocks guys there should be some big party where we all get together once every couple years and bash together im just a young guy with a ton of money to blow so money is no problem for me i live with my dad and have soent 5000 on rcs in the last two months i just got into this all two months ago and have went crazy and want to put 2000 more into my pro model is this a smart move to spend near 500 dollars on daves motor with the same cc but ported and polished with the stuffed crank is it going to make that much more of a diffrence cause then i can put my stock 30.5 into my other rampage with the stock 26 and use the stock 26 for learning grounds i plan on tearing it right apart rebuilding it putting a bigger bore and outting it back together first time working on an engine it will be and just seeeing if it will start again lol what do you guys think stick with the stock 30.5 or go for the racing 30.5 i just keep hearing stock anything sucks seems to anyway am i right or just leave it be and add stuff to that engine and set up would really like to knoiw sorry for the long post i really like to talk lol and learn i want the best rampage money can buy i don't care if the thing cost me 5000 dollars i will do it lol

walbro 813 carb


30.5 from daves the best one there the ported polished stuffed crank shaft


hpi wheel adapters with excavater tires


hi tec 5745 or stronger steering servos and hi tec throttle one to whatever the best one is for that


hi responsive clutch with 8000 rpm spring


dominator pipe got the redcat tuned one now but getting the dominator


maybe faster gearing cause such a powerful engine and smaller tires so should make up for that power lost with the smaller tires and more horsepower


dual boost bottles


hpi air filter


thats what i got so far i really want to know what you older guys that know alot more about this stuff would do if say you had the pro model like i do and you had unlimited money to spend on it to make it the fastest strongest toughest most bad ass rampage you ever could dream of thats what i want and will do if you guys tell me what to get with in 6 months i will post the pics of it so if you guys want to see the most bad ass rampage ever built i would love to see a fewof your guys lists of what to do and i will take the best i think from each one or maybe just pick one of your set ups and do it cause i love these rampages so much i could care less for baja and these others trucks the rampages just rock and i want the best one money can buy we only live once so what the hell thanks guys and ou all do really rock glad i found this site its amazing i learned everything i know here
