What engine for new truck?

So Ive oredered my 2wd fg Monster truck but now want some huge power in it!!!!, Ive looked around and spoke to most of the largescale dealers and it seems the best Value /performance option is the ...

MMR pro MX 30.5 Modded engine based on a CY engine!- only £299

They claim about 5.8 hp with a Dominator pipe!...I wont be racing but would like something pretty awsome!!! any other reccomendations or is that a good engine???

£300-£430 max Would rather £300 though!! -;)

Pro MMX engine is good, seen them running and they have great bottom end and good mid range power.
 
The problem with your original post is those 2 letters 'CY'.
Whilst most find that they are generally very reliable, there's still a big '?' around the plating in the cylinder / liner.

I don't have any bad experiences, yet, but I've only had Zenoah. Possibly a modified Zen ?

Others have the experience I'm missing and will advise, I'm just raising a point.

I've an FG MT and find a standard Zen G260RC with a high end Dominator pipe more than powerful enough, especially considering the unsettled nature of the beast. More power will be probably unnecessary .... !!!
