what engines fit in the dunerunner

looking at a new engine. which engines fit in the dunerunner and what engine does it come with stock?

The dunerunner comes with an HY 26cc engine. It is VERY similar to the CY brand of engines. You can use any CY engine head kit to upgrade it, or you can buy any CY engine as a replacement.


You can also buy the Zenoah engines, but it takes a little more effort to dremel the mounting holes in the chassis. Easy enogh that alot of people od it that way, including myself.

ok thanks. so far im not thrilled with this engine. may be heaver than my 5t and i know the 4x4 sucks up power . i have a pipe coming nest week so ill see how that helps.

Even a 5T can will wake the motor up. Or a piston and head kit will be a huge increase.
